Такі пісні співає наш народ про колись існуючий Хазарський каганат, утворення кочових племен. Виникає це об’єднання в VIст. І спочатку виступає лише за інтереси кочових племен Азії. Далі він тримає шлях до другої столиці каганату міста Саркель, що знаходився на Дону. З цього часу перестає існувати Хозарський каганат. Повертався Святослав тим шляхом, що і прийшов. По дорозі додому не зустрів він ніякого супротиву, чи повстання. Єврейська ж верхівка розповзлася по всьому світу. В 966 році Святослав підкорює камських болгар і мордовські племена, переміг аланів, ясов і касогов, які знаходилися біля південно-східного кордону Русі. Таким чином Русь почала контролювати торгові шляхи по Дону та Волзі, заявила про себе як про сильну державу Європи, та створила безпечні південні кордони. Проте Святослав не міг сидіти спокійно оскільки бачив нових ворогів, які загрожували Русі – візантійців...

І посадив князь у Новгороді незаконно народженого сина від ключниці Малки – Володимира. Навесні 970 року військо Святослава стрімко перетнуло Болгарію і осадило місто – фортецю Аркадіополь. Якраз під Аркадіополем і відбулася перша битва з візантійцями де русичі отримали переконливу перемогу. Тоді імператор Іоанн Цимісхий перехитрив князя, давши йому велику данину. Військо русичів залишило Фракію і Македонію. Візантійська імперія отримала мир, щоб підготуватися до нової війни. Навесні 971 імператор збирає військо і починає похід проти Русичів. З 24 квітня 971 року починається облога міста Доростола, де закрився князь з військом. Вона триває близько двох місяців. Періодично під стінами фортеці відбуваються сутички з перемінним успіхом. 22 червня 971 року вивів Святослав своє військо і наказав замкнути за собою двері, щоб ніхто не зміг сховатися.
